    Description

    Vintage Bakelite item.
    I assume it is a ring, though it is a bit thick.  A button cover?  Lace it into your hair?  Hang from a cord for a necklace pendant?
    Dark brown bakelite with amber highlights.  The amber is a bit stronger in the photos than in person.  I have one rind that is dark brown and the highlights are barely visible.

    This is an unused, but salvage item.  Rescued from a factory that got flooded in hurricane Sandy in the NYC area.  It spent at least several weeks under water.  I have hand washed it with soap and water.
